Start
Coverack Harbour
Easy launch from Coverack Harbour in sheltered water.
Plenty of car parking nearby when the weather is rough.
Caerhays Beach is sandy and gradually sloping.
As with all beaches in Cornwall, parking can be difficult during peak holiday periods.
In ideal downwind conditions for this run, the beach will probably be quiet.
Finish
Caerhays Beach (also called Porthluney Cove Beach)

Weather & more
Best done on a pushing tide and SSW wind.
This is a deep water run and at times you are long way off land.
Full personal safety equipment advised.
Falmouth Coastguard station is approximately halfway along the route.
Phone them before departure (01326 317575) to inform them of your route unless you want to have the RNLI called out on you.
After leaving Coverack Harbour, keep the Manacles well to your left.
The ground swell usually wraps to a more south to north direction but the wind swell should be pushing across the bay.
Exit in Falmouth or St Mawes if things don't go to plan.
