Direct easterly summer run and on a dropping tide.

Excellent unblemished downwind conditions for 20km across deep dark water in the bay, with reflected chop off the cliffs from Lamorna around to Porthcurno.

Leaving Poldhu, navigate directly towards the end of the land visible on the far side of the bay.

Once level with Lamorna Cove, the Tater Du lighthouse becomes clearly visible and the Minnack Theatre also becomes visible on the cliffs to the south of Porthcurno Beach.

The run in to Porthcurno Beach on an easterly should have a small but easily manageable swell for landing.
