Parking in the Woods Hole area can be difficult to find on a nice weekend.
Recommend parking most vehicles at/near West Falmouth Harbor and carpooling/shuttling to start @ Woods Hole.
Put in at Woods Hole public ramp.
Easiest approach to R8 is to cross the channel (watch for strong tidal currents and large boats/ferries) and pass through Hadley Harbor -- approximately 2mi / 3k.
